If you are interested to join the lab, feel free reach out with a CV, brief motivation and 2-3 reference contacts. Open positions are typically advertised here, however sometimes we have a small budget that allows to bridge some time towards a properly funded position. In case you are willing to apply for your own funding, we are happy to support/host, and our university’s grant office provides excellent grant writing assistance.
Postdocs in the lab are typically involved in supervision of PhD projects, and where possible will serve as senior authors for resulting publications to prepare them for independent positions.
PhD positions are embedded in the Donders Graduate School. Sometimes there are options for joint PhD programs together with other European universities.
Student internships are restricted to local candidates according to department policy, unfortunately.
Organization
Our lab is embedded in the unique infrastructure of the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior. The Donders Center for Cognitive Neuroimaging offers several MRI systems, MR-compatible systems for recording sleep EEG and peripheral psychophysiological measures, a 275-channel MEG system, an EEG-TMS laboratory, and state-of-the-art computational facilities. All facilities are fully research-dedicated laboratories with excellent technical support. The Donders Institute furthermore provides a unique and stimulating learning environment for young researchers, including a high-profile graduate school and in-house methodological expert courses.
Sleep research is a vibrant and rapidly growing field at the Donders Institute, with several new research groups in human and animal sleep research. Development of novel sleep research methodologies is embedded in the strong neuroimaging expertise of the Donders Institute as a whole.
Our projects are further embedded in the Radboud University Medical Center. Radboudumc strives to be a leading developer of sustainable, innovative and affordable healthcare to improve the health and wellbeing of people and society in the Netherlands and beyond.
